Svoboda & Williams Welcomes New International Property Consultant

After the extraordinary success of the Legendary Trunks: A European Private Collection auction in July 2024, which netted €2.4 million (double the original estimate), Christie’s is unrolling the second part of this exclusive sale. The online Legendary Trunks – Part II auction will take place from June 19th to July 1st, 2025, and will offer roughly 100 luxury Louis Vuitton suitcases. For decades, these have been a symbol of the brand’s precise craftsmanship and timeless elegance.
The highlights of the auction are two explorer trunks from the end of the 19th century made of aluminum, zinc, and copper – materials that are resistant to even the most extreme conditions. Their estimated price is from €40,000 to €60,000 per case. Another highlight is a secretary desk trunk, which likely belonged to the famous American explorer Louise Arner Boyd, the first woman to fly over the North Pole. The case has the classic LV monogram, brass hardware, leather finishes, and many drawers and compartments. Its estimated price is around €10,000 to €15,000.
All of the trunks will be displayed from June 21st to 26th at Christie’s main auction house on 9 Avenue Matignon, Paris VIII. The exhibit will be accompanied by a dedicated scenography.
