Historic property

This carefully renovated Art Nouveau mansion with a large park is located near Bratislava in the village of Sasinkovo. With Neo-Baroque elements, it is adapted for residential living. Its history of ownership dates back to the important early Hungarian aristocratic Abaffy family, and later the Apponyi or Erdődy noble families. In the 19th century, the building was remodeled in the spirit of Art Nouveau by Count Mátyás Pfeiffer, who lived here until 1936.

The ground floor of the manor consists of an entrance hall with an impressive staircase and access to a social lounge with a fireplace, a wood-paneled game room with a pool table and a bar, a period wine cellar, 2 x guest toilets including bidets, an entrance hall to the original manor house in an eclectic style from the 17th century, a lounge suitable as a dining room, a generous kitchen, a laundry room, a utility room, and an apartment. The apartment consists of a living room with a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, and a toilet.

The upper floor consists of 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with showers, a master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower. There is also a large wood-paneled library and an elegant office on this floor. Entering from the first floor, we can reach the spacious attic, which can also be converted into residential spaces.

Facilities include crystal chandeliers, stained glass windows and paneled doors, Luxembourg oak floors, underfloor heating, and an Egyptian marble fireplace, reconstructed according to a period photo, which can heat a large portion of the mansion. Energy efficiency is provided by two modern boilers and solar panels.

The landscaped, extensive, level park with rare trees has a fountain, a gazebo with seating, and an extension with a garage and parking spaces.

The location of Sasinkovo offers many opportunities for active relaxation—hiking, cycling, tennis, and golf. Tourist attractions in the area include, for example, 13 churches and the Jewish synagogue in Trnava, Čachtice Castle, Beckov Castle, and Red Stone. Sasinkovo is 9 km from Hlohovec, where there is a castle and a swimming pool.

The property is a national heritage monument. The mansion was extensively renovated in 2010-2012.
