The village of Budčice, in which the plot is located, is about an hour's drive from Prague. This romantic area around the river consists of forests, meadows, and a sparse development of mostly holiday homes. The nearest towns are Zruč nad Sázavou and Ledeč nad Sázavou, both accessible within a few minutes by car or train. Boaters and lovers of hiking or biking trips, and admirers of historical monuments will appreciate the picturesque center of Ledeč with its historic zone, where you can visit, among other things, a church, a synagogue, and a medieval stone castle. The city is also famous as the home of the Jaroslav Foglar Museum.
